Paintball masks are the safety gear that is not only required,
but you will want to wear them. Most masks look like ski goggles
and are built to withstand a paintball velocity of about or under
300 feet-per-second.
Popular paintball masks are double-paned or thermal. They’re
popular because they’re less prone to fogging up. Fogging
masks have been the culprit for many a missed paintball target.
Any paintballer who has missed a target due to mask fogging is
definitely interested in something that fogs less.
Paintball masks protect the eyes and face. Some are even made
with throat guards and neck coverings for added protection in,
for example, a cold-weather round of woodsball. Any way you look
at it, masks are required for safety, but most paintballers agree
they would wear masks even if it weren’t required.
